    Yes tag lasts only one year. Average of the top 5 at the position for that one year salary wise.

    wasnt there some player idk if it was freeney or soemone else but they made a big deal about being tagged during the offseason

    Lance Briggs from Chicago, Asante Samuel from New England doesn't like it either.

    Most players would like to go get a longer contract rather than play for one season "tagged". Signing bonus, guaranteed money, etc.
