Most people in America would get broken in half by NFL players. They are elite athletes and represent a very small % of our population.

In fact out of 316,000,000 people in this country, ~1700 are NFL players ... meaning .000005% of our population make it to the NFL. These do not represent the "average" American.

Sure Chinese may be smaller on average ... but in a country of over 1 billion people, I'm quite confident you will find the a small % of individuals that possess the traits that it takes to make it in the NFL ... and with a population that is more than 4 times the US, they would theoretically only need about 0.00000133% of the population to fit the bill in order to make up a full blown league (32 team, 53 man roster like we have here).

The real problem is interest in the sport. Football is a HUGE deal here ... not there though. Playing an NFL game there with players they can't identify with on teams they know nothing about won't change that.

Then care to explain why China isn't producing any NBA talent? Basketball does exist there. And has, for much longer than football, which is nonexistent there.

China produced 1 homegrown NBA player, and he was a genetic anomaly. If he weren't 7 foot something, no way he'd even make it to an NBA minor league.

Fact is, in most US sports, you have to be physically dominant, less so in sports that China may excel in, like soccer, gymnastics, and ping pong.

That's not an insult to china.. Their athletes can probably walk normally at age 60.

But you are right, it's a cultural issue as well. These sports are American sports. Until a country takes ownership of a sport, (like Russia, Canada, Scandinavia for Hockey, and the US for basketball and NFL) then nobody cares.

Some sports are local, some regional, some one-country (NFL) some international (hockey) and just a few worldwide (like soccer)

NFL will never be a worldwide phenomenon.. The rules are too complex, and always changing. the NFL itself can't even be consistent with the rules. Don't know how they plan to extrapolate that into a worldwide thing that everyone cares about.

You do know that Ming is not the only Chinese player to ever play in the NBA right? He is just the most well known, but there are several others.

Also, China does have their own professional basketball league ... perhaps most Chinese players would rather play professionally at home (and while they might not make as much as an NBA player, they can still make a a very good amount of money there)

Hard Knocks should be good, but 50/50 chance Fisher is out in 2018, guys average in every way, LA fans will get sick of that in no time

It's not just that but also the fact that the Rams came out and announced their starting QB would be Keenum

When you go to LA and Keenum is a starting QB how do fringe fans rally and get behind this?

At the very least RG3 gives fans a reason to sit in the seats ...

Keenum, Fisher and a bunch of no name WRs blehhhh

Gurley may be the face of the franchise but that isn't saying much at this point in time
