    Stoked opening night is here!

    Flyers playing the Bruins.

Started with a drawn out ceremony (including 5+ speeches) which pretty much turned into a second 'parade' for the Stanley Cup Champs.

Afterwards Bruins went up 1-0 about half way through the period, the Flyguys scored two goals in the last minute of the period. Last year we scored zero goals in the last minute of any period. :wink2:

Big year for the Flyers. Finally made a deal to get an elite goaltender!! Traded away the captain and alternate captain in the same day of off-season, but got a great return and still have a great nucleus from last year's team. Have a couple rookies with potential on the roster plus a few FA pickups (including Jagr's return to the NHL).

Honestly Philly might be building a 'dream team'!

    Seriously.

Many are underestimating our team (and that includes Philly fans, obviously), but I don't buy it..we'll fight for a similar seed in the playoffs (1 - 4).

    Glad hockey is back. :grrr:

I've been to one hockey game, and it was one of last years playoff for the preds. Blew my mind. NHL is a solid #2 for me. :)

edit: just reread the last sentence. awesome.

Glad to see some interesting in the NHL. I love me some hockey. I'm actually doing fantasy hockey for the first time this year. I actually like it better than fantasy football so far.
