Nissan gonna eat the batteries after 8-12 years or are the zero emissions gods gonna make it all go away?

Wow. It even looks like a Prius.

I'm sure that the batteries will come down in price as the market expands, as does all things initially prohibitively expensive.

I'm talking about the bio-hazard on wheels that these things are.

Your right. Screw it all. LA and Denver deserve their damn smog anyway.

How did you dispose of your car battery? I have a recycler nearby, but my car won't run without one.

core swap when I need a new ONE, not dozens of em'

  6. Lithium ion batteries can be recycled. Simple as that. The lithium doesn't vanish. They'll reuse it to make new batteries. Car components have been recycled for about a century now.

But even if they couldn't, it's not as if 8-12 years worth of car exhaust was non-existant...

As for the shape looking like a Prius, that only makes sense. Toyota used the most aerodynamic shape they could. It only makes sense this would copy it. A drop of water logically has to be the most aerodynamic shape you can have as it is a fluid form shaped by the air itself. That's pretty much as close as they can make a car body resemble a drop of water.

car exhaust vs electrical plant emissions. Still takes X ammount of energy to move X ammount of weight X distance. Of course Aerodynamic drag factors in, about as much as headwind vs tailwind, also gotta consider the line loss from the plant to the car and the vast ammounts of smug produced by the driver

I'm pretty sure humans have doomed earth. That's why we've never seen a society like today's, because you get advanced enough to reach this point and we end up killing ourselves unknowingly. I'll read that article later, but the car looks very futuristic.
