Decent is the key word here. Teams don't jump on decent players the first week of free agency, they go after good players.

I really like Marks. He can be good depth if he wants to sign cheap.

Marks really wants to stay with the Titans, so he says.

He'll really wanna stay once he figures out that no other team has any interest in him.

He'll end up somewhere on a small deal, that's for sure though.

I'd say that too if I had zero options

the guy came into the league undersized and weak as hell, his chances of getting a 2nd contract are slim.

He was saying this before FA even began. He goes in studio with Brent, Blaine, and Clay all the time. He sounds sincere.

Curious, if you were to sign Marks to an extension, what would you consider fair for what he brings to the table?

I'd go no more than 2-3 years but not sure on the $ amount.

If I'm being nice I offer him 1-year at $1M

I'd offer that with incentives based on performance to make it essentially a 1 yr 2 million deal.

the problem with Marks is you can get the same production from a mid round pick this draft, we have a chance to upgrade, so we should

I'll be mad if marks made this team again, we can do so much better

This nailed it. You can draft a 3rd-5th rounder and get his production.. plus you'll be paying him like $500K vs the 2mil that corymiller would offer. Look at the production we've gotten from Klug (5th) and Martin (3rd).
