Big game after big game this defense does its job. And big game after big game this offense fails to either move the ball, or even when it does fails to convert drives into points.

Eventually late in games the defense gets winded on a drive and that ends up being the one that beats us. It happens so many times, I actually expected it tonight once the 4th quarter began.

True, needed tighter bump and run coverage when we blitzed.
Like someone else mentioned, there no point blitzing and staying 7yds off the receiver and letting the quick slant patterns get completed.
When Roethlesberger was wanting to get the ball off quick Finnegan,Harper and whoever was on Miller should of been punching their respective coverage assignments in the face.

Harrison was there before Manning, and Polian drafted those other people. And The Colts defense sucked most of the time, excluding some pass rushers. Believe me, I've had season tickets for them since 1998. Dungy was along for the ride, but he is a great person.

+ Dungy also made a terrible Tampa Bay team a Super Bowl threat.

    where was Manning then?

This reminds of something Fisher said after the Baltimore loss. He said just because we make one or two mistakes that cost us the game, doesn't mean we completely overturn the franchise. We work on the mistakes we made, and we move on. Simple.

The #1 reason we lost that game is because the steelers are a great team. We can look at our mistakes like the scaife fumble and the 2 missed FGs but the steelers made some mistakes as well.

The notion that we can't beat good teams is dumb we beat these guys last year.

All this crying is pathetic we can win it all as a 10-6 wild card. If we come back and beat houston in our next game we are not in bad shape.

fisher started coachin in 07?

but just goin off your cherry picked stats.....i'll cherry pick a bit too
there's 2 big game losses to the chargers
1 big game loss to the ratbirds
a 3 game losing streak (bengals, broncos, jaguars)
and now a big game loss to the steelers

do i think fisher is the worst ever? no, BUT i do get tired of the bend dont break, play not to lose, one and down ways of this team.... this is HIS team so i point the finger at him:)
