When making your selection, do so in this fashion.

With the XX pick of the 2008 GM Mock draft, the (insert team name here) select Joe Bloggs, (position) of XX university.

(insert short explanation of rationale for pick)

We have about 1 month to get through about 95 picks, so we'll need to be going at a rate of about 3 a day. I'll set a nominal 12-hour time limit for each pick before exercising Commissioner's veto power.

**Note, if you know you are going to be away for some time, please pm myself or one of the other prominent participants with a shortlist, so the selection can be made on your behalf. **

    Over to you BigRed3.

    2) St. Louis - Chris Long DE, Virginia

Too good to pass up him and Carriker will lead a very good line for years to come.

With the 3rd pick in the draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Jake Long, OT, Michigan.

Atlanta's new head coach is a run-first guy and Long will help pave the way for Michael Turner in their re-built offense.

  5. Bobo

    Bobo Guest

    Oakland picks Darren McFadden.

Al Davis goes bonkers with his man there.

With the 5th pick of the 2008 GM Mock draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Ryan Clady, OT of Boise State.

This pick will start the rebuilding of our O-Line, which is aging. We're hoping Ryan will develop into a franchise-type LT.

With the 6th Pick of the 2008 GM Mock draft, the New York Jets select DT Glen Dorsey of UF.

Despite an injury riddled year, the Jets are estatic that Dorsey fell to them. This will shore up their DL, added with the pick up of DE Calvin Pace in FA.

BY the way, Carpy asked me to make this pick.

With the 7th pick in the 2008 GM Mock Draft, the New England Patriots (via SF) select CB Mike Jenkins of USF.

The Patriots would most like to add to their front 7, but with Dorsey gone and not being a big believer in Ellis and no 3-4 suited linebackers in site, they took the next best option and helped alleviate the loss of Asante Samuels. Felix Jones was also a consideration as BPA.

With the 8th pick in the draft, the ****birds, er Ravens, select QB Matt Ryan, Boston College.

With the 9th pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Sedrick Ellis, Defensive Tackle, USC.

-- Obvious pick here. A lot of people have Ellis rated ahead of Dorsey and he's a steal here. He'll be a starter from day 1. Keith Rivers and Derrick Harvey will be considered also, but no way they can pass on Ellis.
