Our WRs are just bad

    This is a big part of it. The play calling is meh, and easy for DC's to game plan. And Matthews has been having a quite, but solid year. It was about this point last year that the O really started humming. Mariota missing a game was a setback, but he looked good on Monday, has the Browns this week, then the bye. Plus, we should see Davis back after the bye.

    This thread feels like odd timing...

    IMO, the quality of the wide receiver play is a by product of the offensive scheme and strategy itself. Marcus is not the only one being harmed by what’s being called and schemed out there. Everyone offensively is affected by Robiskie.

    Whenever we need to convert a 3 and 5+ I'm always expecting the ball to go to Rishard because that's what he does.

    So what? When your a go to WR that isnt hard to do. Mariota makes him WR1 on any good team hes at best an WR2 talent.

    Not really. We knew coming into this season our defense is going to still suck.

    We invested on offense too much for us to be this BAD. Especially when you use 3 of your 4 picks on offense.

    Its probably the scheme thats holding this guys back, but there’s no reason why this offense should look this bad. Maybe this WRs are too dumb to grasp an scheme? Or is it beacause the coaching staff? I’d probably lean towards the coaching staff.
