Al made me look bad by benching him...but that's cool.

So, why did I repeatedly see Panthers D running right at VY?

And why did VY throw for INT with wide open field ahead of him? Does he have a learning disability?

I'm not sure who should get the blame, but either we need some big time WR upgrades in the offseason, or Norm Chow has to go. It's the scheme, the players, or both, but something needs to change. Our passing game has to be fixed and VY is here to stay. So the OC or WRs need to change.

Same thing, different week, different opponent.

Defense continues to be a godsend, and AH has his most disruptive game of the season. Defensive line came starving, and got their fill today. Run game was contained nicely, and we never let Carr get comfy.

Offensively, what you can say. They did enough to win by stuffing White in there. Young continues to make mistake after mistake after mistake. The growing pains would hurt a lot more, but we're 6-2 and looking quite consistent.

Amazing day for our playoff chances... Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, and Jags all lost... If we beat the Jags next week we'll have a 2.5 game lead on them... One more win and we'd be sitting really solid.

Thank you D....again. Hope you're ok Al.

LW had a decent day especially considering the D we played.

VY looked good when he ran, but don't force those throws :suspect:

It's not just one thing. We have mediocre, young wide-outs, a young QB that is having serious mechanic issues, and an O-line that is struggling to protect him (this is more of a fault of Young holding on to the ball too long.) This severely limits you're play calling. People weren't complaining about Chow when Young was single-handedly running around winning games. This is the growing pains you guys just have to deal with.

It would also help if along with some better receivers we had a Tight End that when thrown to would actually catch it at least sometimes. SCAFE!

the 42 yards from last week probably didn't sit too well with him.
There's nothing wrong with what he did.. i do that in madden 08 all the time to pump my stats.. :sarcasm:

but seriously, our offense plays best when VY runs. If we wanted a passer we could have drafted Reggie Bush with our first round pick and searched elsewhere for a more accurate QB.

VY is strictly and foremost a scrambling QB who's strength is in drawing the defenses towards him and passing for a handful of yards on occasion. If we do not utilize him in that playing method, then what added value does he provide us?

Kinda like getting married to a thick lipped babe who doesn't like giving... well you get the point.
