You aren't getting it. He thinks McNair is overrated. Thus he isn't going to choose McNair regardless. His own opinion of McNair in general is going to sway his decision on the poll, regardless of him being overrated or not in general and his play in 2003. His own opinion is relevant in his voting pick.

McNair being overrated or not in 2003 is a matter of opinion. The entire poll is based off of opinion in general.

It shouldn't matter whether you think McNair was an overrated QB or not, the original topic was which one player/season you'd pick based on their performance for that one season, so if you automatically eliminate McNair from the list simply because you thought he had an overrated career, then your judgement is clouded. Which is what Alex was trying to tell you when he said it wasn't relevant.

But I agree with Deuce about defense. To answer the topic question, especially with our current roster, Big Al's 08 season was more valuable than McNair's MVP season.

In terms of most valuable, I'd rank 'em as:

    1. Big AL's 08 season.
    2. CJ's 2000 yard year.
    3. McNair's MVP year.

I looked at this thread early on and it pretty much became a McNair thread. Then there were a couple of posts in a row asking why Pacman was even included.

So, yeah... I was curious how long this would go before someone finally noticed I voted for that d@@che! :ha:

Only in your deranged mind are those numbers "$hitty" for 14 games.

He had 1 less TD than Manning did in 16 games. Fewer Ints and Lower INT % than Manning. Had a better QB rating than Manning, Higher YPA than manning.

If those are "$hitty" than I guess Manning was "$hitty" that year as well and if that is true you just made the argument for Manning not being the MVP that year.
