My bad, I didn't realize I had to look back past 30+ years to find it...1980 and 1942
and you mean 2... the other 3 are years they claimed they were the national champs and other schools claimed the titles those same years. The National poll also only has them with one and the 0 for the BCS National Championships.

If you wanna go by that poll listing them with 5 we can though... and I'll still take FSU's 7.

yeah according to the other charts those two played each other for the title every year for like 20 years. Probably back when they were the only two schools in the country. It's things like this that justify a playoff system in college football.
