I get what you're trying to say but this is stupid. Let's say you work for a big company. Turns out high members of that company's staff covered up child molestation for 10 years, which includes rapes right there in the office. That whole company is going down. Maybe you just don't understand the magnitude of child rape. Yes, sucks that the innocent ones are caught up in this and won't get to live out their dream of playing ball at Penn State, but sorry bud, there are some things actually more important than college football. As many have said, let the football players be able to transfer immediately and maintain their eligibility.
The difference is- if it were management (as in this case) no, the "whole company" doesn't go down. Nor should they. Those members of management are terminated and the company moves on with the embarrassment. Same should be here. Yes. "They can transfer". Ignore that many kids want to stay close to home while attending a prestigious university. Ignore many of those kids dreamed of playing for PSU. It's simply stupid to punish people that didn't have anything to do with it and didn't benefit from it. Now. With recruiting violations- the team is benefiting. That's different. But taking team wins away from guys that played there? Dumbest thing ever.
by covering it up for more than a decade the team benefited - that is plainly obvious shut Ped State down
yeah? PSU's football team played better due to some old guy molesting kids? Love your logic, always, Got.
I caught my dad looking at porn once. It was just some crappy preview video though. In order to avoid a wierd coversation, I just emailed him a link to myfreepaysite.com, and "you're welcome" at the bottom. We've never talked about it.
wow you are dumb. FSU gave away free shoes to some kids. They have been known as Free Shoes University since then and lost scholarships over the deal. But Penn State covers up some assistant coaching molesting children and what do they deserve then????
Deserve to be punished. Not worse than death penalty though. Wins shouldnt have been taken from previous players.
Penn State is toxic right now, 2 of the local players from my town are running to California with their talents, no one wants to stay there. The punishment fits. You rape little boys and you and your program fall. These sanctions will effect Penn St for years after they're bowl eligible. The Nittany Lions have a long road to recovery. But I think this whole thing will stain them forever, or at least another 8-9 or more years. If you can't get players then how can you compete? They F-ed up so much.
I would say 10 years before they can see daylight again. The sad thing is that college is not suppose to be about football at all. I bet if their tennis scholarships got abolished or they had to drop some academics no one would care. I guess that the ones that go there will just have to study to get a degree or some crazy s**t like that.
