I'd like to whats going on with Mike martin, he's actually pretty similar to both Casey and Donald, maybe he's ready to take the next step..

Yeah he fell off, but I know everyone was pretty high on him at some point...If Verner is gone, they may VERY well go CB, especially since they couldn't give Verner's job away last year...

Honestly I wouldn't be THAT surprised to see us use Donald as a 3-4 linebacker if we were to take him. He has the athleticism to play the position (his 40 time was .02 slower the Macks at a good 10 lbs heavier) and could be used like Ware and Mario Williams were in a 3-4 as a guy you rushed the passer from various spots on every down.

Then you could bounce him inside on nickle packages and go with a "D Line" of Ayers -- Casey -- Donald -- Morgan.

He's one of those guys that I think could play just about anywhere in a defensive front like Mike Vrable was.

I just can't really imagine a 6'1 280 OLB. I feel like that would be a waste of his talent, he would be better as a 3-4 DE in a one-gap scheme, him and Casey both. However, I would trust whatever Horton wanted to do with him.

We could have a scheme that has Casey/Donald be our primary blitzers while our 34 OLB are more of run stoppers.

    How about this draft:

    1st: Aaron Donald

    We then trade our 2nd to the 49ers (42 for 56 & 77)
(#77 would actually be our 3rd, LOL - 49ers have two late 2nds FYI)

    2nd: Carlos Hyde (#56)
    3rd: Jeremiah Attaochu (#77)

This is a whole lot of fun for us, but it will get even better once FA starts and some holes get filled. It will let us more clearly define our needs. ONE MORE WEEK!
