This stuns me that they are considering him. He treated that fan base like crap multiple times. I have family who went there and everytime something would come out that he was sneaking around and interviewing for jobs (like Auburn) and they fell thru, he would come back and talk about how Louisville was home and he would never leave. Everytime my BLaw would talk about how sincere he was and they were convinced he was there for the long haul. The guy is a snake and now Jurich is actually considering bringing him back. Amazing.

    They're desperate. Not surprised.

You can either have a good head coach or roll the dice on a coordinator.

He treated multiple fan bases like crap. Has left a giant mess wherever he went. Compare instead with someone like Brian Kelly who left winning teams wherever he left: Grand Valley State, Central Michigan, Cincinnati. Why anyone would want this sleazeball is beyond me.

Is a new motorcycle part of the compensation for him?

It would be cool if Louisville has some awesome "out" deal where they could fire him without owing contract money. And then it happened like if they used him for a year and then dumped him.

    Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

Louisville's AD (Tom Jurich) is the best in college sports today. I would trust him to only bring back Petrino under UL's conditions.
Petrino fell pretty far, perhaps he's changed? Sometimes after being humbled people become better human beings.
But even if there's no reason to trust Petrino, there's plenty of reason to trust Jurich...

Id be interested to see what his contract looks like. Louisville will continue to win with him there so long as he behaves himself
