Petty???

Titans have scouted Petty and he is rumored to be Whis favorite. He will not cost a first rounder either. All depends on who we sign as a vet to compete.

 

I was thinking something similar watching that game. But when did Whiz say he's sticking with Mett?

 

Whis shouldn't tip his hand like that until after the draft... make other teams unsure if we QB or not at 2.

 

I would love getting petty in a late round, said that to my son during their game. Would be good push between he and mett if a vet is brought in.

 

Mariota looks great, we watching the same game. But now the immature idiot just looks like a kid. Yep, he is NFL ready.

 

Mariota sucked in the first half, and it's hard to evaluate him on a lot of throws because they are mostly pretty routine...

And the best throws he's made have been to wide open receivers. I don't think he'll be able to throw passes into tight windows in the NFL.

I actually thought Winston looked better than Mariota until he fumbled a few minutes ago.

He's definitely more NFL ready than Mariota.

But I don't want either one, and I don't expect much from either in the NFL.

Mett is better than both.

 

Instead of the athletic system guy with the huge upside, lets take the smaller less athletic system guy.

 

The way to early Mock I'd like to see as of January 1st ...

1st RD - Randy Gregory DE Nebraska

2nd RD - Alex Carter CB Stanford

3rd RD - BA Offensive Guard or Tackle

1- So the pass rushing specialist is sewn up

2- The major hole at defending the pass is addressed early enough

3- Whichever QB is under center has a blocker, especially if Levitre is cut

If Bryce Petty falls later 4-5th round I'd be content with them taking a chance - as long as a veteran QB is signed as the #2 or to compete with Mett - but he seems a little big and not the most accurate in the pocket, more of a project.
