im still very skeptical about our defense after watching scrub qbs like the bears 3rd stringer last year tear us up.

 

Revamped secondary so where did you watch em? Last year was last year, every year the roster changes a bit and gets better or worse.

 

Byard, Searcy and Cyprien could be one of the better units on the field this year. A lot of talent there.

Byard, maybe. We'll see how he does with an expanded role. I've seen enough of the other two to know they are not good.

Still just have Rishard Matthews, washed up Decker and rookies at WR, right?

Plenty of holes

 

I enjoy this line of thinking, there are two camps:

Camp 1: "it's not an issue until it is"
Camp 2: "it's an issue until it isn't"

I fall into Camp 2, I don't understand how so many members can think unproven(Autism Johnson) or lousy(Sly) players aren't holes because they're holding out hope.

A hole is from someone you can't can't on. For instance, we know that Casey, Orakpo, Morgan are not holes. Just about everyone else on D is mediocre at best or a liability. We don't know if Logan Ryan isn't David Givens yet.

 

How did that work out last year?

Can't wait to see Cyprien and Searcy in coverage, smdh.

 

The problem is not holes, the team is just very, very young at most of our skill positions. Adoree Jackson & Kevin Byard are the main two we need to step up, but we don't lack talent at many positions, we just need growth which only comes from time.

 

I think we're 5th - and the only reason we're not 3rd?

The jury is still out on our Secondary. Everything on the offensive side of the ball has analytics that can be broken down ----- However, our Secondary had demolition charges set to it, and has been almost completely rebuilt........

 

I would say more like put out of its misery, but yeah.
