If we had gotten Kelly or Manningham in the 2nd, we would have guaranteed a roster spot, while someone who really works for it and deserves it (ala Ealy or Jones) gets cut. How stupid would we feel if we cut someone who ends up a great player, for someone we invested a lot of money in, who could suck. This way, we bring in a later round player, and some undrafteds to compete, and I think we'll have an above average WR corps this year.

Is Crumpler going to run 50 yards for a deep ball?

There is a neat little you tube where the fans, instead of doing the wave, so the hawk all around the stadium.

Siily us everyone knows Ealy is better than Sweed and Thomas. Oh and usually WR's who go undrafted don't do well. That's a terrible strategy.

Hey,don't start on Hall. He looked like Christian Okoye last year pounding the rock. I'm hoping he gets a few more touchs this year.

Which one of our WRs would start on any other playoff team. We have a glut of almost mediocre WRs but have no #1 WR and probably not a #2 WR. Look at most other playoff teams #2 guys--none of ours compare. We have several guys who would be #3 or #4 guys. I hope some of the draftees from last year step up, but the guys we have are all other teams' rejects. Think about it-our starters were all cut from teams that didn't even make the playoffs last year, and our #1 from 2 seasons ago, Bennett, barely cracked the rotation for a crappy St. Louis team. Our WRs are not even close to "above average".

That said, this is a value pick for the round, but we should have picked one up WAY earlier. A WR core made up other teams rejects and late round picks will keep us from ever being a serious contender.
