23.7 PPG with Smith starting. 26.4 PPG with Kaepernick starting. A 2.7 PPG differential is a big deal. Also, Smith loaded up on the Jets and Bills, scoring 79 of his 213 points in two games. When Smith wasn't playing the Jets and Bills, he averaged 19.1 PPG even with the best defense in the league. I like Smith and I feel bad for him this season, but Kaepernick is far better than him. It isn't even close IMO. Smith's best days are behind him, unfortunately. I hope he winds up with the Chiefs because I think they'd be the best situation for him of the teams in need of a QB.
