I just heard this on Sportsline, Pillar was put on IR today

 

He sucks anyway.

Piller's contract...

Both piller and olson signed new deals that last until 2009. Piller counts $3.5M against the cap which is 5th highest on the team.

With bell's contract running out after this season i think it is pretty obvious that they will be saying good bye to piller and looking to wrap bell up for a long term deal that might look rather similar to the one piller has.

 

Pillar's performance since he tore the bicep in 04 has been poor to adequate at best & his contract is prohibitive to his return.

Good news is as RollTide says Bell will effectively pick up Pillars contract. The bonus is it will not impact our $42 mill spare cash when we cut Pillar.
