Okay, so we have let go a lot of big named players and players whos faces were this franchise. But if you look at the bigger picture. Those players after they left us were nothing really.

    McNair....
    82.5 295 468 63.0 3050 190.6 6.5 16 12
now thats good. But really Vince Young did that. but instead of 16 throwing TDs it was 17 total i think. McNair could not come through for the Ravens when they needed him most. And he did nothing int he playoffs. So getting rid of him was a good thing in the long run. But he could of been better than kerry collins and he woulda tutored Young.
    Eddie George...
was nothing his last year with us...nothing after us
    Mason..
    2005 Baltimore 16 86 1073 67.1 12.5 39 2.7 3td
    2006 Baltimore 16 68 750 46.9 11.0 38 2.4 2td
not much production there. Hes on the decline, we have young guys on the incline...
    A.Dyson
    2005 Seattle 10 20 1 21 0.0 0 1int
    2006 NY Jets 15 51 11 62 0.0 0 4 int
Hes a good corner but he was better with us..6 ints the year b4 he left..on the decline
    ROlle 2005 Baltimore 16 39 2 41 0.0 0 1int
    2006 Baltimore 16 48 4 52 1.0 7 3int
hes in a good Defense so he is hidden. Hes good but on the decline as well.
I heard in a preseason game that they were saying hes slower and might move to nickle packages to fit him better now
    Kearse

    2004 Philadelphia 14 27 4 31 7.5 29 0 0 0 0 2 6 0
    2005 Philadelphia 15 36 3 39 7.5 25 0 0 0 0 3 8 0
    2006 Philadelphia 2 3 1 4 3.5 31 0 0 0 0 1 1 0
Oft injured and hasnt produced much since leaving.
THis is just a reminder to those who belive we make bad decisions in releasing people. I think the titans organization is smart and doesnt want to ruin us when those players get really old and we arnt worth much. We have youth and we love it. Out with the old, in with the new

Mason got 1000 yards the season after we let him go. That's not much production? And last season he had twice the production of anyone left on our team!

brandon jones had the same or more TDs than him and brandon jones played with a rookie QB and came off a knee injury

That's a stretch. True, he only had 2 TDs, but he had twice as many yards! It's true that he came off a knee injury, but he played in every game.

You're pumping up Jones awfully hard, and knocking mason equally.

Yea, I wish we still had Mason - of all the players we've let go he's one of my only regrets. TDs and total yards aside - he just got open on 3rd and anything. If Moulds can do that this year, I don't care if he only has 40 receptions for 300 yards and a handful of TDs.

But on the others you make a decent point. No one likes to see productive players go, but more often than not the Titans have picked the tight time to call it quits.

 He's done well. It's not like Ahmard Hall is a bad FB by any means though.

if we could of had Pac AND Rolle last year, we would of had the top CB tandem in the league. Add a healthy Kearse to that equation, and we could of had a top 3 defense.
You say that they are on a "decline" but they still outperformed our guys. Just because they might not be in their prime anymore, doesn't mean that they aren’t good players. You can't say that we are better off without them, because we would be in a much MUCH better situation with them.

...a past his prime Rolle is much better than what a young Hill will ever be.

Amen to that my friend:werd: Couldn't imagine where our running game would be if we still had the Dozer... But, to point this out... all those players had gel-ed with this team when they were Titans, they are talented players, ole sallary cap hurt us or most of them would still be here.

Don't forget about Runyan - a perennial all-pro to this day. OL isn't a glamorous job, but important nonetheless.
