Playoffs- Interesting Titans Footnote

    While I'm sure most here are perfectly aware of this, I just thought I'd throw a thread out there on the subject. Particularly now that it is near the AFC Championship game halftime.

    Every team that the Titans have lost to in the playoffs, so far, has AT LEAST made the superbowl.

    1999: Titans lose to Rams in Superbowl.
    2000: Titans lose to Ravens. (Baltimore wins Superbowl)

    2002: Titans lose to Raiders. (Oakland loses Superbowl)
    2003: Titans lose to Patriots. (New England wins Superbowl)


    2007: Titans lose to Chargers. (San Diego............)


    Just found that interesting as I watch today's game.

    (Personally, I really feel 2002, the Titans would've given the Bucs a great game. At worst, every playoff year before 2007 I would say the Titans were the 3rd best team, if not the 2nd best. Nice history for Titans playoff teams.)

    Just thinking about that earlier today. Not bad for a team since moving to a new location in 1999. Five playoff appearances in what eight years?

    I have a feeling the Chargers would have beaten the Patriots if LT was healthy. Still, the conf. championship isn't bad.

    As much as I don't like NE, I did get a bit of satisfaction out of the fact that the Chargers lost to the Patriots in the same manner we lost to them.

    Offensive ineptitude.

    Titans went 1-1 against the Colts last year and almost beat them twice.

    Yeah it seems like that after 2 games against the Titans they would realize that fieldgoals don't win games in the NFL....Hear that Fish ?
