Because he's not healthy yet. He had a major injury, and he can do irreversible damage to his hip if he returns too soon.

Bo Jackson's career ended from a hip injury.

Do not rush him back... I wouldn't feel comfortable with his first game back being against the Niners anyways.

What if Jake has been way ahead of schedule and the coaching staff just hasn't wanted to get our hopes up? The severity of the actual injury was never disclosed, only a time-table was given.

    I meant injury. My bad.

I considered it a major injury... since those hip injuries can cause pretty big problems in the future.

If you rush him back you risk re aggravating this injury and the hip is no joke. Considering we have a bye week after the niners you cannot let him play next week. I hope he is healthy but I would not feel comfortable with him in the game this weekend. We can take bite the bullet for one more week and come out strong in the end

Im saying if hes healthy he should play. we love mac9 for playing through pain but don't want to allow locker the same opportunity? you cant say hes not healthy...no one here can. only his doctor and him can. like someone mentioned this injury has been quite the mystery.

Allowing McNair to play hurt ruined him though. Why not let him have the bye to rest? The Rams game is three weeks away. Just let him come back then.
