Jeremy Stevens too, but neither are active so I guess I woulda figured it out
Mr Hope Solo?
Just draft a guy at TE if we need one and spend the money on Levitre.
Think we are done drafting TE high, Troupe and Cook. They need to sign a proven player such as Fred Davis, Keller or Brandon Meyers
Rather bring a vet at TE. Already have a young guy in Thompson who is still developing and Stevens is kind of limited. If we can get a guy who already has experience and can block and catch then we'll be fine. If we bring in a rookie TE then we're going to have to rely on two inexperienced TE's and that might put too much on Stevens.
Craig Stevens is so underrated ...
Keller for me. We have our blocking tightends in Thompson and Stevens. Both can block well and maintain their blocks. That leaves us needing a receiving threat. Keller was solid when they were a good team a couple years ago. He wouldnt be the MAIN guy here, and thats another reason to sign him. Hes a capable 1000 yard tightend. If we brought him in, then forget Cook. Someone else can have him.
We dont need a hybrid TE! We need someone who can block (ie Stevens and Thompson) and someone who can catch some short passes (Stevens, hopefully Thompson). We have a backup in Barden who might get a one game suspension for his dui. What we NEED is our WRs to make plays and a consistent run game. Let Preston fill Cooks void. He has good size and ability. Make Hawkins earn his money and throw to him. Look Damien Williams way! Send Wright out for the deep ball and see what the kid can do! Seriously, we are making way too big a deal over the loss of Cook! We didnt know what to do with him and he didnt catch everything thrown his way so the experiment is over. Move on and get back to physical, smashmouth football on both sides of the ball! We will never be the Patriots and we need to figure out our own identity on offense.
