Disagree. Maybe the locker room would be fine, but the media would not. The better he plays, the more of a distraction he could quickly become too. Say Mariota is out for the full 4 weeks and CK were to go 3-0 (he'd have to get signed and play this week) and play well. When it's time for Mariota to play again, that's where the distraction would come in. Either it becomes a good ole fashion "QB controversy" or it becomes something more about race and getting benched despite good play.

At this point I'm not disagreeing he's better than Cassel.

Cost would be another consideration.
