If the Titans somehow ended up with Tom Brady or Peyton Manning (I hate Manning, this is just for the sake of argument) how far would they go? With an elite level QB do you think the Titans would be a lock for the AFC Championship game or possibly the Super Bowl?

    Not much farther, if any.
We are a run first team with a run first mentality. Sure, Dinger is here and he will stretch the field more than former Republican Presidential Candidate Norm Chow did.
Brady, Manning, and Palmer's skills as passer would go for naught in our style of offense.

That is complete BS. With either of those two guys running the team, our RBs would be that much more special, because defenses would have to play honest, pass and run equally. There would be more lanes open for running, the seams would be wider for the TEs and the WRs would be given opportunities to make plays all over the field. The Titans would become a complete offense, instead of a make-shift one, and defenses would have to remain true to their assignments and play the whole field. The combo of LenDale/CJ would be amazing with one of these QBs back there with them with the ability to utilize the passing game efficiently. Titans dream team, with this defense, AFC Favorites easy.

We'd be about the same because the QB is throwing to the same receivers. As stated, Fisher is an old school Coach who is in love with the run game. He's always going to choose run over pass.

as long as we have the WR corps that we have, it won't make much difference who's throwing to them

a better QB won't stop them from dropping passes

As much as I'm behind VY as our starter, we'd be Super Bowl contenders now with a Brady or Manning, or we'd be talked about as contenders, at least. Just look at what happened when Farve went to the Jets... they went from a cellar-dweller to a playoff lock in the media's mind.
As for our lack of receivers... name D. McNabb's great receivers he's had to work with. Or how about all those all-pro wideouts Brady was throwing to before Moss got to NE. This season will show whether or not Vince is a top-flight passer, regardless of who he's throwing to.

I'm quite certain that if our WRs had someone else throwing them balls, they wouldn't have nearly as many drops. Timing is a huge part of the passing game, Vince doesn't have it YET, he may get it may not. Until he starts putting the ball on a rope and quit laying out floaters, guys are going to drop balls. An NFL WRs eye is trained on quick response, so when a ball takes longer than usual get to them on a quick route, the hands falls asleep and there is a loss in concentration. This is why you see many WRs prefer to have a ball with much higher velocity coming at them than a floater. You are trained at high speeds, so when it turns around in game-speed and the balls are slower, your timing and rythm is completely thrown off, physiologically you're so far ahead of the play you can't slow the body down enough. Notice, when VY puts zip on the ball and delivers it on time, it's a beautiful sight, and the WR catches the ball. When he puts up a floater, or lays one out there on a crossing route, it seems to handcuff the reciever more than it should. It's like catching a Knuckleballer, your body gets so far ahead, it literally can't slow down to that speed. Vince needs to quit playing patty-cake with the football and stick the damn ball in their faces, they won't drop them!

Honestly, for those who say we wouldn't be any different as a team with Brady or Manning are joking. Those guys would make us a top 5 offense, coupled with our top 5 defense, and eliminating the turnovers, we would be one of the more efficient teams in the league.

    We wouldn't be a top 5 offense.
