Don't forget about luck, be it good or bad.

Would any of you guys take Cam Newton, Sam Bradford or RG3?

In this day and age college QBs are just stat machines, in the last 5 drafts the only successful drafted QBs are luck and Wilson, that's saying a lot.

Matt Barkley was supposed to be the next great QB, what happened there?

I disagree. You can easily add in kaepernick, foles, Newton.

Newton's looking pretty damn good from where I'm sitting.

In my eyes a QB must have two traits: accuracy and must throw with anticipation. Without those first two, just move along.

Looks that way sadly. I thought he could learn anticipation the more he played in an NFL offense and he has, just not nearly enough. As far as the accuracy goes, in my heart I knew that it really couldn't be taught, but I bought into the notion that it could be learned with practice and fundamentals... again I was wrong.

I'd throw Dalton and Matt Ryan in there. Ryan was drafted 6 years ago not 5 but 5 seems to be an arbitrary number so f it right?

    1. Accuracy - this means being able to put the ball where you want it. Lead receivers to increase YAC. Put the ball where only your WR can catch it.

    2. Decision making - Making the right reads. knowing the situation ... its ok to throw away or take what the D gives. Understand where you are on the field (ie redzone) and how that changes your decisions

    3. Pocket awareness

    4. leadership

    5. strong arm
