Every team has players with bad characters, they're just better at hiding it.

I think that Samari Rolle and Hopkins roughing up their wives was just about as bad as anything Pacman has ever been caught for. He didn't shoot those people.

Everyone gave Hopkins a break, and Rolle is still worshipped by everyone around here as well, but they are scumbags too. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Rob Reynolds. God knows why we re-signed him.

You can say we don't want anyone with bad character, but it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE!!

I would say a lot of NFL players could be charged with domestic abuse or other crimes, but they never get caught.

Heck, they get paid to beat up people, the more violent you are, the better you are paid. It's Pavlov. If you are rewarded for being violent, you will want to do it more often. You want your way, you take it by force.

Some people can't differentiate between real life and football.

I know Gunny, I'm just saying it is human nature that if you are rewarded for foing something, you're gonna do it more often.

    I was just simplifying it.

but they aren't rewarded, they get paid from the NFL but for playing not smacking wifes or whatever. Unless you mean they get paid for playing in the violent nature of the NFL but that has no relevance to violence outside the field.

Domestic Violence is a crime that involves the two strongest emotion in the human body... love and hate. I'm not saying its right, but growing up with a brother or sister that you went to blows with is the samething... they fall under the same laws. I don't agree with the decisions that those two players made... but, I understand the emotions that can lead up to it. Pacman on the other hand is a thug, gang-banger. He was a gang-banger when we drafted him and he's still one. If it wasn't for the NFL... he'd be slinging dope out of a old, beat-up, 88' cadillac with three stolen 24' rims and a spare.

pokemon is a far worse person than Rolle or Hopkins. he doesn't get a break because everybody else gets in trouble. everybody else doesn't get into trouble all the time like pokemon does. it troubles me than winning is more important than keeping scum like pokemon out of the league.

I don't care what my neighborhood mail man does when he gets home, as long as I get my mail.
I don't care what the kid at McDonalds is doing when he gets home (lord knows what) as long as I get my fries.
I don't care what the mechanic does outside his job, as long as he fixes my car.

So, how much of a hypocrite would I be to care what a football player does outside the game of football?

PacMan hasn't been in jail. McNair was for DUI (putting innocent lives in danger), Hopkins was, Samari was, yadda yadda yadda. A DUI to me is worse than hanging around a bad crowd. A DUI, you know what you're doing and you don't care who you may kill while doing it.
