It's not a GOTY contender. Wont even be considered. Think, we've already got Bioshock which kills any chance of a Ratchet/Crash Bandicoot being considered. Even Halo 3 has enough blind bias to cancel any consideration for it. Then you've still got Mass Effect coming (it's trailers alone kill Ratchet's chances), Assassin's Creed, and Metal Gear Solid coming?
It may be a fun game, but just looking at things realistically. Ya'know.

plus, the constant complaint is that it's too easy to give anyone a challenge, which hurts it a lot.

most GOTY candidates are "killer" apps
    Bioshock is a killer app
Oblivion was a killer app (and won goty)
you just don't see Ratchet as a "killer" app
most platformers just don't get those credentials

I judge games on an entertainment basis, not the fact that it's a killer app...

But in terms of how "experts" or most gamers, you guy's are right. Mass Effect o r Assassin's Creed look like it will carry that title with most gamers.

    ^granted

let me just say that most 'killer apps' have high entertainment values
or they wouldn't have secured the moniker

but, platformers normally don't garner such things
