Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky[IMG][IMG] The NFL world was stunned to check the scores and see the Lions even with the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium with less than 10 minutes remaining. Still virtually everyone figured Peyton Manning and the home team would find a way to make sure the Lions didn't get their first win.

A seven-play, 88-yard drive that ended with Dominic Rhodes' second touchdown did the trick and Indianapolis tacked on a field goal.

The offensive hero of the day was Dallas Clark, who had 12 receptions for 142 yards, including aÂ* leaping touchdown catch and foot placement under the goalposts worthy of Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison on their best days.

The Colts needed him to help offset a strong day for the Lions one major weapon, Calvin Johnson.

They remain in the driver's seat for the AFC's top wild card berth.

Indianapolis now has a short week and looks to rebound in time for a successful trip to Jacksonville Thursday night. The AFC South rivals were both quite different when they met for the first time on Sept. 21 in Indy, when the Jags pulled off a 23-21 win.
