Is your friend Al Davis?
Nah, I usually do the random ESPN leagues. I've got enough friends that watch football, but probably couldn't tell you who is on whose team outside of their current favorite team.
So oddly enough, I find more competition with a bunch of randoms than with my sports friends.
Yea, I've been playing since I first knew about FF in 2004. Standard Yahoo scoring is 4 points per passing TD... 6 for rushing TD. That's why RBs are valued more than QBs.
If it's 6 points then there's no reason not to get a QB early. I prefer the 4 point passing TD setting because it adds more draft strategy IMO.
Ours is 2 for 250, 3 for 300, and 5 for 400. So if he throws for 400 yards you get 10 points.
WR's and RB's are 2 for 75+ then another 3 when they hit 100. The double points for a score of 40+ yards.
So in my orginal post I had Peyton, Freeman, and Jason Campbell as my QBs. Peyton was moved to IR, I also picked up Carson Palmer and put him to IR. Then I have David Garrard possibly coming in waivers.
all on my roster lol
Apparently I was wrong. 4 points per passing TD. Those guys are morons.
This is my first year playing fantasy football. Let me know how I did.....
M. Sims Walker
I had Britt but dumped him for McCluster
3-0 in ESPN and 1-2 in Yahoo
So my team (that I originally posted) is 0-3. So I needed to make changes (keep in mind its a keeper league, so i'll get to keep two players).
I just did this trade:
SJAX, JOSH FREEMAN, JET D/ST
Julio Jones, Rivers, Eagles D/ST
I have CJ2K, Felix Jones, Ben Tate, Reggie Bush, McCluster, and Hardesty as RBs. But my QB play was struggling, so I went for an impact player and got Rivers.
