SUMMARY: Titans GM Floyd Reese spent some time Thursday negotiating with James “Bus” Cook, the agent for QB Steve McNair. Reese is hoping to lay the groundwork for a new deal for McNair who has a $50 million roster bonus due in March. Paying a $1 million buyout would make McNair a free agent after 2006 and push his cap hit to over $14 million which the Titans also wish to avoid. Reese says he plans to begin talking to DE Kyle Vanden Bosch's agent Tony Agnone next week along with continue talks with Drew Rosenhaus who represents C Justin Hartwig. "We’ve said we’d like to keep these guys, and we'll work to see if we can accomplish that," Reese said.
