I like Battle as our 3rd RB though.
McKnight offers more than Reynaud as a RB, but he's a bit of a head case isn't he?

What about Steve Breaston? too old?

The Seahawks just waived Will Blackmon. That's the guy who should be returning kicks for us.

And if Reynaud is our returner I'll just assume the offense has to start from their own 15 every drive. The guy takes it out of the endzone every time and doesn't go anywhere with it.

I do remember the year where special teams cost a few games, Fisher even said it was his mistake to put people out there who weren't ready. I can't remember who, but I remember fumbles. That said - taking a knee on kickoffs might not be so bad, especially considering so many kickoffs are out of the endzone anyhow.

My understanding is the league wants to minimize the kickoff return because of high % of injuries that occur on the play, and moving it back to 15 would create more returns, not less.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...hiano-explains-idea-on-replacing-nfl-kickoffs
"One of the things that when I was researching, I think it was like, in the old kickoff rules, 17 percent of the catastrophic injuries happened on kickoffs, yet it's only about 6 percent of the plays in the game," Schiano said

Kindof cool but Schiano suggests this:
As relayed by TIME's Sean Gregory, Schiano proposes that after a touchdown or field goal, the scoring team retains possession, getting the football on its own 30, facing fourth-and-15. The team either can go for it or punt it away. In effect, punts would replace kickoffs.

DWill or that Wooten guy can handle returns. There, we don't need to sacrifice a WR or Battle.

Except that we haven't tried returning with any of these other guys this preseason. Should tell you that they intend to have either Rey or Marc back.

    I vote Marc.
