If that's what he does, it's clearly an indicator that a part of his agreement was to hire Mularkey. May have not been an official agreement, but I'm sure it would be more Amy/Underwood wanting Mularkey than Robinson.

I think our drafts are about to look WAY different... in a good way. We have a genuine talent evaluator at GM now.

I expect he will do everything he can to trade back a few spots, if it's a realistic option.

I agree that's it's promising all the praise he gets as a scout. Hopefully he brings in his own trusted guys and doesn't keep our current scouting staff cause they are to blame as much as Webster is.

Then we'll know he had no real choice in the matter... most likely.

I'm with you on that. Problem is, he's pretty much stuck with the current staff for this year. The contracts of scouts normally don't expire until after the draft, so the guys he will want to bring in won't be available until then. On the bright side, the next few months will give him a good chance to evaluate the current staff to see who he wants to keep and who he wants to let go.

Unsure if some of y'all are aware of the way Bill controlled the draft room/Scouts tendencies and how they evaluated talent- but it was very detailed.

The difference is taking our current scouts and teaching them a different way to evaluate- using a different standard

You don't always have to get new people- just talented guys that can change the way they are viewing information

If he can relay information and teach his methods to our scouts- we will be well off

He also hasn't been sitting on his hands in Tampa. He has a lot of Intel from the Tampa scouts and his own review of current college players I am sure.

I don't hate mariota I actually like him and think he will be good. I've said all year he has a lot to work on to play in this offense. If he had chip he wouldn't have to change his game and work on stuff as much because chip knows how to use him. You guys bash chip a lot because his style is different but it's been proven to work and he will turn kaps career around in San Fran.

If Mularkey is named head coach this hire was a waste of time!!

Oh I don't know, at least we'll have better talent being poorly coached.
