You can say the exact same thing in reverse with every position on the team. The D line is overrated, they're only there to help the DBs once they finally lose coverage.

That makes no sense. DBs cannot end a pass play until the ball is thrown. The DL's job is to make the QB throw the ball by threatening a sack. Obviously, sometimes they get the sack, and sometimes they force a QB to scramble, but their main purpose is to force the ball out.

Dbs cant end a pass play til the ball is thrown? Ok? What can a D Line do when the pass is thrown? lol
If there are no DBs, a line will never get sacks. If there is no DL, someone will always get open.

Do you not see how this works both ways?

It can influence the way the pass goes and can force the QB off of his rhythm. Anytime a QB gets to pick apart the defense, he will have great success. Look at Brady's 26 for 28 performance against the Jags.

    Wow. Brilliant. :moon2:

The DL has more influence on rather the pass play is succesful. Obviously, the DBs have a role, but the DL is more likely to blow up a play than the DBs.
