He was just released by the Bengals. Might still have a few years left.

Sam was a big flop for the Bungs this past year..
If Cincy is passing on a DT then you know you don't want him...

Definitely not... Titans don't need a tub like Adams who historically doesn't even start getting into playing shape (for lack of a better term) until around game 5 or 6 and has to sit out alot of downs even then.

I wouldn't rule it out. If Washburn can light a fire under him our run Defense could be much improved with a space eater like Adams. occupying two blockers.

lets face it...he is generally stout agains the run (forget the bengals they have really no other help and a poor LB core) but he takes up so much room. He may not be able to rush the passer but thats why we re-signed Long...but w/ him an albe on the line..both will draw double teams...seroiusly freeing up the ends (which we need)

and plus they will simply take up so much room on the line...w/ their size..giving our generally faster/smaller LB core more oppurtunity to tackle the ball carrier quickly

The Bungs have Chip Morton at strength and conditioning, who is definitely one of very best in the league and he had no effect on Sam's roundness this past season.
Marvin Lewis is one of Sam's best friends and still couldn't find a place for him on a roster that couldn't even stop East Nashville High School's run game. The Titans don't need to go there..

I like the idea of having some big guys to stuff the run between tackles. They keep the OLine off the Linebackers so that they can make plays. 2006 Draft Ray Lewis demanded a big DT for this reason.

If he is cheap, I say we pick him up and take him to CiCi's Pizza.

  10. It's absolutely safe to rule it out...
