First, how do you disregard age? Finnegan will get better over the next year or while Harper will probably be worse this season. Second, why would you take a WORSE player because you can 'protect' the worse one??? Can't you protect the better player? Therefore, protecting with a S is a moot point.

Finnegan can cover a guy very well short, medium and long...by himself. Harper can not. Finnegan is the better player and it is a noticeable difference. Finnegan may cost you 15 on rare occasions, but I'd still rather have him over Harper every day of the week, twice on Sundays's...for the next 6 years!

PS - I do like Harper, but he's coming up on the end. Finny is better and will continue to be so.

 

I've always wondered about Harper... he's 34 years old, but he's only a 7 year (or 8 year) veteran.

I'm sure someone here has the answer.

Harper has 8 seasons under his belt and is entering his 9th year. He was in the CFL for one year before the colts signed him. He was undrafted.
