And he also went about 8 games with 2 or fewer catches and was completely shut out for 3 games.

 

He was also a 5th round pick...

You keep reminding everybody he is a 5th round pick yet we keep pointing out how he played like a 5th round pick. Our WR2 only had 41 catches for 500+ yards. What is irrational about saying Sharpe had an underwhelming season? He shouldn't have been a starter in the first place. Go ahead and keep repeating how Sharpe's production ranks amongst other rookies drafted ahead of him. Can you explain why we would spend our 5th overall pick on a WR and then turn around and trade up in the 3rd round for another WR if Sharpe showed so much promise? Heck we are even bringing in Decker for a visit.

 

Facts- not that anyone likes those- prove he played more like a 2nd rounder.

As for explaining our draft? Simple, bud:

We don't have a true #1. Tajae wasn't drafted to be a #1 (I know... this likely comes as a shock to you) We have a budding QB. The focus is there. To surround him.





So.... you think Demarco Murray just wasn't good, too, huh? I mean we drafted Derrick Henry! NO WAY TITANS TRUSTED... yeah, shut up. You're terrible at this.

 

As for Decker- that's likely based on us having mostly young players at WR.

Taywan likely won't play that much this year.

And Tajae's injury.

 

You're delusional if you think Tajae played anything like a 2nd round pick during the season. Yes it was underwhelming because he went into the regular season as our WR1/WR2 but he could barely put up WR3 production. His first game he had 76 yards and yet averaged 32 yards per game. That's pathetic for anybody that leads an entire team in offensive snaps. God damn why do we have to keep repeating the same stuff over and over again to you? There's nothing else to explain about why his season sucked.

 

And fool you can't be that dumb to compare drafting Corey Davis to replace Sharpe to Henry replacing Murray. Everybody knows we drafted Henry so that when Murray comes off the field we would have a capable running back that can come in and be the same type of effective power downhill runner.

We drafted Davis to replace Sharpe in the starting lineup so Sharpe could be relegated to the 3rd option at WR. But you know what. The team still felt the need to draft Taywan Taylor in the 3rd round. There's our slot WR to compete with Sharpe. Who knows if Sharpe wins that battle. But oh wait now we just brought in Decker for a visit. We already have a vet on the roster in Douglas so no they aren't looking at Decker as just a vet leader they need in the locker room. All of these moves is because of how unsatisfied the coaching staff was with the WRs last year.
