Should Klug start over Jones?

I fully support starting Klug over Jones. I also fully support starting Mariani over Tajae Sharpe. We should also start Matt Cassel over Mariota.

 

yea certainly some players have a knack for it but I still think its more random then anything else. Has more to do with the ball carrier then the tackler imo.

 

yea theyre mostly the outcome of a mistake on the ball carriers part but if that balls is routinely out and away from guys bodies then its on the defender to take advantage

As a rule, most teams drill the first guy tackles, the second goes for the ball. I never see us try to punch a ball out. Casey actually tried to strip Tannehill - almost got it. Just saying you have to try to do it before you are going to get any.

There are 3 types of guys who cause FFs. The excellent pass rusher who gets to the qb in the pocket and strips him so most if not all of his FFs come from qb's. Then you have the big hitter....usually a SS or LB who crushes ball carriers and Knicks them out. Then you have the fighter...a guy who will go for the ball in most situations...tackles by putting hat on ball or always reaches for the ball as someone goes by...practices and makes a point of going for the ball the majority of the time!

 

Well PFF had our oline ranked higher than the cowboys which is a complete joke. watch one cowboy game and look at the monster holes they open up and it's easy to see how their line is way more dominate than ours!
