He needs more carries wright out the door .Cut him and if he stays cut hes pay and make him a 3rd down back. This is how we need to use him

Meggett was used frequently as both a rusher and a receiver in his NFL career, but was primarily used to return kickoffs and punts on special teams. He led the league in punt return yards (582) in his rookie season, while gaining 577 kickoff return yards, 531 receiving yards, and 117 rushing yards, earning him a trip to the Pro Bowl. Meggett led the NFL in punt return yards again in his second season (467), helping the Giants record a 13-3 regular season record and a 20-19 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXV. During the 1990 postseason Meggett saw his duties increase when starting running back Rodney Hampton went down with an injury. Splitting time with veteran back Ottis Anderson, he had a solid performance in the Super Bowl, recording 129 all-purpose yards (48 rushing, 18 receiving, 37 punt return, 26 kickoff return).

Honestly that would be the right way to use him. Kick/Punt returns and 2 to 1 carries vs. receptions.

I don't think that was necessarily the point. I think if a coach came in with a passing philosophy they wouldn't be too opposed, I just think they were upset the team was built last year to run and we were throwing with fitzerception 40 times a game. that's insane.

CJ still has some tread on his tires and can be used like Jamaal Charles. But his price tag is WAY too high. Plus, I DON'T like CJ's perception that he needs MORE carries to "get going".

I'm sick of the "feed CJ until he breaks one" offense. It hasn't done much of anything in the way of playoff runs for us. I'd be for keeping CJ if he would re-structure and understand that he is a C.O.P. back / scatback.

Go back and watch the Giants SuperBowl in the 90s when Bill Parcells ran the Giants

No way CJ takes a reduction or would be content with a lessor role, IMO. The new coach either needs to figure out how to use him "as is" or move on.

If I were the new HC, I'd hold out through free agency and the draft to see what the options were. I don't think CJ's contact is guaranteed so he can be released right up to final cuts.
