If we could get Jenkins in the second, I'd be amazed.
Zero chance we take the third best Saftey at ten... Lol naw
Do you think he would instantly make a difference on the team? And if so, how/why
Pass Rushing ability. The Spin move. Speed. Explosive Athlete. Hands. Has the frame to add another 15lbs. He's listed at 240lbs, but I bet he weighs in heavier at the Combine, and runs a 4.55. He's better vs the run than Wimbley.
i think i read that he is the best cover safety in his class but elam and vecarro both make bigger hits but those 3 are all right up there in the talk for the top safety
As a Titans fan I've come to accept that our drafting is unpredictable.
The last 1st rounder I guessed right for us was VY.
We need a guard or DT at 10. Odds are we take a TE or RB just to continue our confusing trend.
I like Vacarro much more in coverage than Reid. Vacarro is solid in man coverage much more so than any safety in that top tier.
The only problem I have with that is we don't have that big DT in the middle. I truly feel like its a bigger piece to the overall puzzle.
More i look at Jenkins the more I like what I see. He eats up double teams, big space eater. Has some burst and will occasionally bust the double teams. He isn't consistent enough and gets gassed. Good rotational player. Not sure he makes it out of the first round. Maybe top 20. I'd be willing to trade back for an extra 2 and grab Jenkins in the first. G/S in the second.
If he is a potential slider, he would be awesome to grab in the second tho.
Can't compare someone in college to a pro until they perform as a pro themselves. Mainly because they have never faced that level of competition.
I haven't paid a ton of attention to any of the DEs, but Werner seems to be my favorite.
