    Fair enough. But the point I was trying to make is that it wasn't as if doing something different was one of many options for Nintendo... it was their only option. They would have taken a real chance had they released another gamecube type console.

    As for the resolution stuff, I doubt that this is something really important as of now. Apart from maybe hardcore gamers, I'd say that pretty much everyone else has little or no knowledge about it. At the end of the day, it's all about the games, and currently none of the newer consoles have that many... which is probably why the PS2 is still selling very good.
