Weathermen are just like Jeff Fisher.

They're usually wrong, but get to keep their jobs.

Wow...that is alot for down there.

Worst one I remember down there was in January 1994 (same day the Chiefs beat the Oilers in the playoffs). 12 inches in western Kentucky....I 94 shut down for one week, which would have been ok if anyone had done any snow removal during the week it was down. That was the time that I was told by KYDOT that salt did not work unless the temps were above 32 degrees LOL....

    Hang in there folks.

I imagine they'll wait to roll out the salt trucks as usual.. Same salt trucks that "can't make it up that hill" due to icy conditions.. D'oh!

That has always amused me...I have lived in the Midwest, Southeast, and now upper Midwest. I understand why casual drivers struggle (just not used to the conditions like we get up here), but some of the lame excuses you hear from the highway department and DOT down there are just funny...sort of like the "salt doesn't work unless it is above 32 degrees" story...just hilarious.
