True.. ALL of the teams in the SEC aren't great. But the SEC does usually and currently has more good teams to avg/bad teams than any other conference. Most conferences have their ONE, sometimes two, and in some cases three good teams. But the SEC usually always has at least three really good teams and usually more than that. Whats more is that it's not ALWAYS the same team over and over.. yes Alabama and LSU are always real good (I chose to believe LSU is more lucky than good). But our pool of really good teams reloads from one year to the next with teams that were rebuilding the years before. Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina are already prime examples of this.. It will be Ole Miss here pretty soon and Florida wont be down much longer. That is why I think the rest of the country will regret pushing so hard for a playoff.. It's a lot easier to get in that big game when your conference has an automatic spot for the conference champ. UCONN comes to mind in the 2011 Fiesta Bowl loss. The rest of major college football is going to have to start earning their keep now.. thats for sure

The SEC hype has gotten a bit ridiculous, I miss being able to watch games and not have the freaking media hype up every single conference game as a big win or disappointment. freaking hate ESPN. Still clearly the best conference but you can't ignore just how much talent the conference puts on the field every Saturday.

Texas a&m vs oregon? Both teams throwing defense to the wind and seeing how many points that can hang on the other team. Talk about a shoot out. That game would be like 150 - 153

As far as SEC hype goes.. yes.. absolutely sports media has gotten out of hand with the hype but I suppose their job is mostly hype so what can you expect. Gary Danielson and old Verne drive me crazy. Verne is just up there as play-by-play and is way off just about anytime he tries to add any insight into what is going on .. Gary is halfway football competent but drinks too much of the kool-aid before each broadcast.

Teams know when they are good.. the wins and stats are there to prove it. It kind of takes away from it all when you have these clowns beating everybody over the head with it. I think that has caused the majority of the SEC-hate felt around the country.

I guess thats true.. in Oregon's first three games that have held teams to low scores. Kudos to them. If they win out we'll see if they are able to bring that into the post season

Please tell me which conference has won 7 National Championship games in a row?

Which won has won 9 out of 15 since a National Championship game existed? Which one is undefeated in national championship games except their own conference? And how many teams from the conference have been National champions in that era, 5?

Oh but yeah, the SEC is no different than any other conference. :biglaugh: It's amazing how much a person's dislike of something can force him to not admit reality.

And you wonder why there are SEC SEC SEC fans? Cause of the idiots that can't just say the SEC is and has been the most dominant conference in college football.
