so I caught this little snake and I can't determine for sure what it is

    this thing reminds me of a timber rattlesnake except the head doesn't seem to be the right shape exactly and the tiny little eyeball doesn't seem to have a slit but more of a circle. I really don't know... actually, I was hoping that some of you guys are big shot outdoors men... I know Ewker spends plenty of time in the woods... Tell me just what in the hell I have here please.

    i found a poster showing a complete list of the 23 species of Eastern Tennessee snakes

    the DeKay's Brown Snake is the closest resembling species

    that seems like a pretty rare snake...i sure have never seen one...nice wildlife sighting!

    First thing I did was look at the shape of the head. But it's safe. Hopefully you did the same before deciding whether to run or not.
