We would have secured homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
Would it be wise to rest all our starters for an entire month?

Nope. But I bet we see them for only the first half of the next two games and the DLs rotate in the backup a lot longer.

Fisher brings in the hottub on the sidelines and tells the starters that a TD, interception, sack, forced fumble or a run/pass over 40 yards wins you a spot in the tub with unlimited tea and honey.

I'm also curious as to what it would take for us to secure home field throughout?

the bucs rested their starters for the last two or three games last year and played terribly in the first round.

Titans win and the Steelers lose. Homefield throughout is ours.

And no, we shouldn't rest the starters for a month. They should play most, if not all of the Steelers game and at least 1/2 of the Colts game.

Basically 1 more loss by the Steelers. They are 10-3, we're 12-1. If PIT loses to BAL this weekend and we beat the Cows, Steelers can't finish better than 12-4 and we couldn't finish worse than 13-3... so we'd clinch home field throughout. If PIT wins and we lose this weekend, then whoever wins in Tennessee next week gets it.

IND and BAL are the only other teams that could finish with a tied record with the Titans if they won out and we lose out. We beat BAL earlier so we win the tie-breaker there. IND is eliminated from home field throughout since they will be a wild-card.

Where do you get the idea that if the steelers beat us, they get homefield? We're two games up. We'd have to lose 2. If we lose to Pitt we'd also have to lose to someone else.
