With the the hype about Kenny being on the verge of being an top elite WR, does this injury really hinder what his next contract will warrant?

I had a feeling that he was going to demand big time money when it was his turn to talk a new deal.

This injury just cost Britt millions of dollars:sad2:

As amazing as Britt can be, I would nervous if I ran the FO paying him a big contract. He has the talent no question, but he can't stay healthy. Anytime Britt is in the game, I am excited to watch the game. When he isn't playing, it bums me out because you can generally count out any big explosive pass plays.

without a full season of solid production i say they shouldnt pay out a huge contract.... especially now that he's having a major knee surgery after all his hammy troubles. he'll probably never be the same

whats he gonna do? hold out? he'll just get himself in trouble during the hold out and be suspended when he comes back. honestly though, give him the big money.... make him forfeit it if he gets arrested.

Injuries are one thing. Doing stupid stuff and getting in trouble like a kid is another. Be a man Kenny Britt.

Of course it will affect his future contract(s). He'd be lucky to get $3mil a year with these kinds of injury issues... Not that $3mil is something to complain about, but it certainly isn't elite WR pay.

The talent is there. If he didn't have injury/off the field issues he would be considered a top 5 WR after this season.

The injury he just sustained takes a full year to recover from, maybe a little longer depending how well he responds to treatments. With that said, Kenny will have 2 full seasons to show why he's worth an extension going into 2014 and beyond.

A lot can happen in 2 years. Kenny could finally grow up in that time, he could address that wimpy hamstring of his. If he wants another deal, he'll get himself one. Otherwise, we're better off NOT depending on him.

He'll be lucky if this injury wont keep him from getting ANY contract. So yes, definitely hinders what he would have received.

Really unfortunate. He could have been the best in the league in a year or 2. No doubt about that at all.

Kenny lives in Nashville now, is that correct? I read he moved his baby mama, and daughter down to Nashville somewhere. So if that's true, we don't have to worry so much about his offseason antics. The only trouble he's had in TN are traffic citations, and one little smack to some dudes face.

The murder thing, and weed was in Jersey.

In Britt's case, he should be 100% well before his contract ends in 2014.

But in the event he were to be injury-plagued until the end of his current contract, I think you have to look at going with a short-term, incentive contract if the Titans feel he is worthy of keeping.

If Britt were to be hampered with injuries over the next three seasons, you can bet the Titans will spend big money on a high-draft pick or FA which means less to give to anyone who hasn't lived up to their potential.

If the Titans make sure he stays in town and rehabs he shouldn't get into a lot of trouble..now where is that piece of wood to knock on
