    Get Clements

Clements is a much better CB than Samuels for a simple reason.
Don't kid yourself. CB is the number one offseason priority. Jeff Fisher has said it, Floyd Reese has said it. It is the most coveted position in the league when it comes to high caliber corners.

Clements has been a consistent pro-bowl performer under three different head coaches. The man plays well no matter what defensive system he is playing.

Samuels is a system CB. He is having a super season coincidentally during his contract year. This never bodes well for teams that sign them to big deals.

Also, the Cap goes up another 5 to 9 million next season. There are going to be many many teams with tons of money. You will have to pay big money for the most sought after position on the field in FA, Corner Back.

The Titans have an advantage because of where they are located. TN has no income tax and a low cost of living. The deal we offer has inherent advantages over teams located in high tax areas. Remember any deal that is signed will be a long term 5 or 6 year deal.

How bout we draft Reggie Nelson in round 1 and then Aaron Ross in round 2 and our problems are solved and use the FA money on a DE and DT.

I say we save the money and maybe try and go after Freeney. Why pay #1 money to Clements when we have Pacman who is better?

    To Start With

Well, to start with. Don't count on Pac being here after his rookie contract runs out. Pac Man is all about Pac Man and will want to test free agency. Also, Pac will likely be arrested three more times and suspended by the end of his rookie contract.

#2 Freeney will not be available. It is being widely reported in Indy and around the league that Freeney will be Franchised this year by the Colts, he will not be available.

How often do we play with only one corner?

7th rounder, like Hill. After seeing him on that fumble return TD who else thinks we should test him at kick returner or something?

    Vince10..

We still always have to consider real market value. What if we sign some guy to a 5 year $40m deal and he gets hurt or develops a drug problem? We can't get the guarenteed money back and even if we release him he will still count something against the cap.

I don't think we ever over pay for any player just because we have the cash.

    Number 1 free agent priority..

    A backup QB..

If we are serious about being a super bowl contender we need a jeff garcia caliber backup in case vince goes down. Collins is not an option and volek has worn out his welcome. We need to invest $3m a year on a quality guy.

They can sign a player with a big roster bonus instead of a big signing bonus, that way the cap hit wouldn't carry over to future seasons.
