patents are filed on any and everything. in the event the idea catches on, the register can capitalize Sony seems to keep latching on to high risk, low reward models even though this concept is already well implemented online and in almost any form of media, it has yet to infect the gaming world. If their is one entity that can flick this finger with a smile on it's face it's Sony Playstation Network is probably one of their best projects running , from the consumers POV and I bet it's the first to see this. There still may be no cost, but Sony will be able to sell advertising (and watch them be heavy on the Sony branding, which kinda defeats the point.) watch TV, view a video online, before your movie, during the Super Bowl - companies want their product in your field of view, and someone will sell them that time. yes, this will probably happen at some point, probably beginning with the next wave of consoles (720? rumored next holiday) or with this subsidized 360 program. I don't see it during gameplay though. Load Screens and Chapter advances seem more likely slots
BTW this has been done before. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizmondo"]Gizmondo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]
There are commercials on Xbox Live, they generally appear in the corner somewhere, and if you highlight them the sound plays. If the Titans replaced him with a commercial clip every so often it would probably do better at blocking than he does.
Really? I suppose my lolz at 360 going to be banned in the USA was evidence all over the place. Oh wait, no that never happened. I am very much over pathetic bloggers attempting to sensationalise what is clearly not going to happen. Especially when it comes to gaming. It's sad that Ryudo actually wants to do this for a hobby/job/whatever and can't even get a headline right.
Opposite end of the spectrum is Sony patents it, if someone else does it, they get money for it. Or prevents another company from implementing it.
Boy you get upset all the time over little things. Then you name call so I reported it. I never said I want to work for IGN or whatever. I just collect. Also just help admin a gaming site and my channel. That's it.
You should really get into internet psychology. You really seem to have emotions down pat based on text. As for reporting it. I said some idiot, not that you were an idiot. Obviously your reading comprehension is the only thing stopping you from becoming a world renowned internet psychologist. But way to go on taddling, didn't know you were that fragile.
