I'm sorry, you are so out of your mind you are stuck in 1991. Chris Webber was somewhat descent, he averaged 15.5 points per game his freshman year and 10.0 rebounds per game. You can only compare him to other power forwards.

Kentucky's power forward Mr. Julius Randle is averaging 15.1 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game in today's college basketball. I think the game is always getting better and to average 15.1 and 10.7 today is harder than it was in 1991.

No offense, and not to be rude, but at least you could say that those stats are nearly identical, and players are similar.... It makes you sound big headed to call someone "Out of their mind" for saying that no athlete can measure up to Chris Webber. Webber always had great sidekicks like Bibby in Sacramento and AI when he was in Philly!

... if you're seriously trying to tell me that college basketball today where a bunch of freshmen/sophmores are on all the teams and have no chemistry is tougher than back then when teams stuck together for 4 years.... my god.

Actually think about it. Back then, the best players stayed for at least 3 years.

It wasn't near as watered down as it is today where the best players are freshmen that bolt before they're even that great.

    you make a point

but the main point is that half the Final 4 and half of the Championship game are SEC-SEC-SEC

I do agree with that. From a pure talent level CBB is every bit as good as it's ever been, but you are right in that the quality of ball probably doesnt quite measure up since so many of the stud players are young guys.

    Right.

And you can't knock guys for playing with lesser athletes. That'll always be the case.

Like... you can't say "Psshh... Ali wasn't fighting near the athlete that boxes today!" because they're part of that group.

In saying that though, there are some teams that are extremely good. The Kentucky team 2 years ago with Anthony Davis, could have competed with anyone despite their youth. But, it is rare for a team that young to come together so quickly and dominate the entire season, but it isnt unheard of either.
