Completely agree with this as well. You mean the Head Coach couldn't take the time to see if his starter could come back in the game??

Eh, so much blame to go around. One of my sadder and angrier days as a Titans fan.

not only that, but last week too. It's like Jeff Fisher is not even looking at his qb to determine if they can play or not. It's sad to see. That is part of the coaches job. He can run out onto the field and look all concerned for a player every single time they go down, but apparently he doesn't care enough to know if they can play or not.

He either has a stick up his arse or he really has no clue.

    I think it's the former.

His whole history with Vince Young is sketchy from day one.

    - Did not want to draft
    - Bulluck forces VY start at 0-3
    - Owner Forces VY start at 0-6
    - He pulls VY after one half of one game to open the season
    - Claims he starts the qb with best chance to win with Kerry at 0-6, and with Vince winning 65% of his starts all time.
    - He let's McNair and Collins play hurt, but vince gets pulled.
    - Won'tt let vince finish a game, when he is one of the all time great comeback qb's.

At what point does the saga end. and this is not even scratching the surface.

These things are not normal. And that's why vince goes off. It doesn't make any sense. It's like Wayne Fontes is running this show and it's a disaster, but unlike rodney Peete, VY is gonna sit and take it anymore.

Bud was not in town yesterday, so I'm sure the story of Fisher flying to Houston is true. He will have to explain the affair in person today(Monday). We probably won't hear anything until tomorrow at least. I suppose what happens will depend on the relationship between Fisher and Adams. stay tuned

Well I know the "fisher going to Houston to talk in Person" is not true, at least not at this point. Fisher has head coaching stuff to do today, plus his monday presser. Its prob going to be a phone call/conference call today and/or a meeting later in the week

Why can't we just have one normal, well-played season? Always dramatic and come from behind.

If you're threatening to stop being a fan if this goes down, please do. Don't tease me.

I actually talked with our HC, who used to coach at Wagner among others, and he said the way it normal works is that a trainer or assistant coach will talk to the player and then tell the HC if he's good to go or not.
It's not custom for the player to have to tell the HC directly. Now obviously this can be different from team to team, but it sure makes a lot of sense.

Wycheck said the same this morning. A player normally doesn't come to the coach telling him he's ready to play

Ok, see ya. The fact is, Fisher is well-respected. His players respect him, his assistant coaches respect him, the league respects him. All you guys asking for him to be fired, who would you rather have? Childress? I heard he's on the market now.

Guess we'll see just how much they respect him in the coming few weeks...

As for who, I'd take Gruden in a heartbeat, and I bet if Bud made the deal lucrative enough with regard to personnel decisions etc, he'd take the offer. Every time he's talked about TN he's done so with a good bit of reverence. Perhaps that's because of his respect for Fisher, but my guess is he'd come here pretty readily.
